Brett Baldey
The Mount Barker Football Club is pleased to announce Brett Baldey as the new Senior Men’s Coach for season 2026.
Brett was the standout candidate based on his extensive football experience across AFL, SANFL and Community Football competitions.
In his most recent roles, Brett has been involved with the North Adelaide League program whilst also holding positions as Senior Football Recruitment & Talent Advisor. Prior to that, he was the Football Operations and Recruitment Manager and a Senior Assistant Coach for the North Adelaide SANFLW team.
He also has a role with the Richmond Football Club as a recruiter and provides Opposition Analysis support.
Prior to that, Brett coached both the Senior Men’s and Senior Women’s teams at the Cove Football Club as well as being involved in player retention and recruitment.
He has also held numerous roles supporting regional representative teams including the Southern Football League and Far North Football League.
Brett holds an AFL Level 3 Coaching Accreditation and has AFL Professional Certification for Managing a Football Department.
We’re incredibly excited to welcome Brett, his wife Josie and children Mia and Cruz to the Club and look forward to seeing him further develop the talented Roos squad for future on-field success.

James May
James continues as the reserves coach after a successful 2025 season after missing leading the team to a grand final berth by less than a kick.
C Grade

Paul Watson
After taking the C grade team the grand final, Paul returns to hopefully go one step further.
