Ambulance Transfer and Cover

The cost of an ambulance transfer is NOT covered by club insurance, and is the responsibility of the player or players parents/guardian.

Ambulance Cover can provide you with security against unexpected fees from using the ambulance service.

Ambulance Cover is included in most private health insurance policies, please refer to your health insurance Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) for coverage details.

The club fully supports the trainers in making the decision to call an ambulance for medical reasons, irrespective of financial implications. 

Please ensure you have ambulance cover.

Mouth Guards

Mouth guards have a definite role in preventing injuries to the teeth and face and for this reason they are strongly recommended at all levels of football. Mouth guards should be worn for all matches and contact training sessions.

There is some evidence that mouth guards may also prevent concussion or other brain injuries in contact sports such as Australian Football.

Custom-fitted laminated mouth guards are considered to offer the best protection, where precision fit and quality materials offer maximum comfort & injury prevention. Over the counter “boil and bite” mouth guards provide better protection than no mouth guard, however, their protection may vary depending on the design, comfort, adaptation and thickness of the final product.

MBFC’s policy is to wear a mouth guard on the oval at all times while training and playing and understand that players or players parent/guardian are liable for any injuries received as a result of not wearing a mouth guard.
